Authorizing Parks and Recreation to accept grant proceeds from the Wallace Foundation and establish an additional 2012 Budget in the Grant & Aid Fund in the amount of $234,021 to reflect the revenue in grant funding, and show the corresponding spending budget necessary to aid in operating the Sprockets Out of School Time Network.

WHEREAS, Parks and Recreation has been awarded a $765,000 grant from the Wallace Foundation to be used from 2012 to 2015 to fund the Sprockets Out of School Time Network; and
WHEREAS, $234,021 of this grant has been allocated to be used during 2012, for the operation of the Sprockets Out of School Time Network; and
WHEREAS, Parks and Recreation is seeking permission to accept this 2012 portion of the grant and wishes to establish a revenue and spending budget in the Parks & Recreation Grant & Aid Fund in this amount; and
WHEREAS, Parks and Recreation wishes to add and establish this new activity for the Wallace Foundation (860-33167) with the above listed budget for 2012; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor, pursuant to Section 10.07.1 of the Charter of the City of Saint Paul, does certify that there are available for appropriation funds of $234,021 in excess of those estimated in the 2012 Grant & Aid Budget; now therefore be it
RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Saint Paul, upon recommendation of the Mayor, $234,021 is available for appropriation in the 2012 Grant Aid Fund, and said budget as therefore adopted by the Council, is hereby further amended as indicated in the attached fiscal analysis form.
