Title
Amending the 2012 City Hall Annex budget to provide additional spending and financing for an Air Handling Unit replacement project and an upgrade and replacement of Energy Management System computers.
Body
WHEREAS, the 2011 budget for City Hall Annex (CHA) operations included funding for the Air Handling Unit Mechanical Project; and
WHEREAS, this project did not proceed in 2011 as originally planned, but will be undertaken in 2012; and
WHEREAS, the CHA Property Management Office has identified an additional project for 2012, which is the replacement of computer hardware and software controlling the CHA's Energy Management System, as the equipment is failing and is no longer supportable by the vendor; and
WHEREAS, $509,965 of additional financing has been identified for these projects from CHA fund balance ($229,965) and the Energy Conservation Loan Fund ($280,000); and
WHEREAS, the Mayor, pursuant to Section 10.7.1 of the Charter of the City of Saint Paul, does certify that there are available for appropriation funds of $509,965 in excess of those estimated in the 2012 budget and recommends the changes to the 2012 budget described in the attached fiscal analysis form; now, therefore be it
RESOLVED, that the 2012 spending and financing budget of the CHA, as heretofore adopted by the City Council, is hereby amended as indicated in the attached financial analysis form.
