Amending the financing and spending plans in the City Attorney's Office in the amount of $134,400 for the eCharging project, funded by the Bureau of Criminal Apprehension.  
 
Body
WHEREAS, the City Council took action on April 11, 2012, to establish a Joint Powers Agreement between the Commissioner of Public Safety, Bureau of Criminal Apprehension, Minnesota Justice Information Services and the City Attorney's Office, Resolution 12-622, to provide a technology solution for eCharging;
 
WHEREAS, eCharging provides electronic workflow enabling transfer of criminal complaints from prosecutors to law enforcement agencies and the courts; enables electronic signatures by prosecutors, officers and judges; and electronic notarization of complaints;
 
WHEREAS, $134,400 of additional financing has been identified for the eCharging project from the Bureau of Criminal Apprehension, Minnesota Justice Information Services (BCA);
 
WHEREAS, the Mayor, pursuant to Section 10.7.1 of the Charter of the City of Saint Paul, does certify that there are available for appropriation funds of $134,400 in excess of those estimated in the 2012 budget and recommends the changes to the 2012 budget described in the attached fiscal analysis form;
 
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the 2012 spending and financing budget of the City Attorney's Office, as heretofore adopted by the City Council, is hereby amended as indicated in the attached financial analysis form.
