Purpose of Appeal

I have 2 windows that were replaced before I bought the property.  They are 1/2" too small to pass.  I am asking for an approval.

Note - orders for all windows but the lower unit southwest were unnecessary as dimensions were within range.

 

Variance Recommendation

Yes, upper unit - 2 inches egress opening height.  Lower unit northeast and southeast bedrooms - 3 inches egress opening height; southwest - 2 inches egress opening height and 1 inch egress opening width.

 

Body

WHEREAS, in the matter of the Appeal of Guy Buonincontro to a Re-Inspection Fire Certificate of Occupancy With Deficiencies at 1120 BURNS AVENUE, the Legislative Hearing Officer has reviewed the appeal and considered the testimony of City staff and the appellant; and

 

WHEREAS, the Legislative Hearing Officer recommends that the City Council grant a 2-inch variance on the openable height of the egress windows in the upper unit and southwest bedrooms; and grant a 3-inch variance on the openable height of the egress windows in the lower unit northeast and southeast bedrooms; Now, Therefore, Be It

 

RESOLVED, that the Saint Paul City Council hereby accepts and adopts the Legislative Hearing Officer's recommendation in this matter.
