Authorizing the City of Saint Paul to execute a grant contract amendment for a timeline extension #2 with the State of Minnesota for the 2008 Homeland Security Grant for training, planning, and equipment for the tactical medic program.
Body
WHEREAS, the City of Saint Paul received a grant of $100,000.00 from the State of Minnesota for the 2008 Homeland Security Grant to provide training, planning, and equipment for the tactical medic program, and
WHEREAS, the State of Minnesota is offering to extend the 2008 Homeland Security Grant so that vital equipment and training can be received by the Fire Department's tactical medic program, and
WHEREAS, the original contract was approved on Council Resolution 10-1124, and
WHEREAS, the timeline extension #1 was approved on Council Resolution 11-1073, and
RESOLVED, that the proper City officials are authorized and directed to execute a grant contract amendment for a timeline extension with the State of Minnesota, Department of Public Safety as provided by the Department of Emergency Management; a copy of said agreement is to be kept on file and of record in the Office of Financial Services.
