Revising Residential Permit Parking Area 28.

WHEREAS, Council File No. 08-707 established Residential Permit Parking on behalf of the residents residing in the Cathedral Hill area in accordance with Chapter 168 of the Saint Paul Legislative Code (amended and renumbered as Chapter 164, Traffic Code Residential Permit Parking-Guidelines and Regulations, of the Saint Paul Legislative Code, on 9/28/11, Council File No. Ord 11-91, to comply with state law changes) with current signs posted for "No Parking, 7 am - 7 pm, Monday - Friday, Area 28" and in some areas "2 Hour Parking, 7 am - 7 pm, Monday - Friday, Area 28"; and
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Saint Paul previously found that the aforementioned residential area did not have sufficient off-street parking to accommodate the residential parking needs of the residents as well as the parking needs of non-residential facilities in the area which lack sufficient off-street parking; and
WHEREAS, affected residents have subsequently submitted a valid petition to expand residential permit parking to include the address 208 Western Avenue; and
WHEREAS, Public Works staff has investigated the basis for the petition and concluded and recommended adoption of the changes requested in the petition; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that the address 208 Western Avenue North shall be added to existing Residential Permit Parking Area 28 which has parking regulations as follows:
1. "No Parking, 7 a.m. - 7 p.m., Mon. - Fri., Except by Permit, Area 28; and
2. in some areas "2 Hour Parking, 7 a.m. - 7 p.m., Mon. - Fri., Except by Permit, Area 28" ; and be it further
RESOLVED, that these parking regulations shall be in effect and be enforced 30 days after City Council approval.
