Approving the new precinct boundaries and polling locations for 2012.

WHEREAS, the Charter Commission has completed the task of reestablishing ward boundaries following the results of the congressional and legislative district boundary changes, and
WHEREAS, the precinct boundaries and polling place locations need to be revised in part to accommodate the new legislative district boundaries provided in the final order of the Special Redistricting Panel on February 21, and
WHEREAS, these changes will require adjustments to the city's precinct boundaries in preparation for the 2012 general election, see attached map,
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the following proposed precinct boundaries and polling place locations be adopted:
Ward 1
1-1 The parts of previous 1-1 and 1-2 south of the new legislative boundary (Bethel Christian Fellowship)
1-2 The parts of previous 1-1 and 1-2 north of the new legislative boundary (Jimmy Lee Rec Center)
1-3 The part of previous 1-3 south of the new legislative boundary (Wilder Square Apartments)
1-4 Same territory as previous 1-4 (Model Cities)
1-5 The part of previous 1-5 west of Dale Street (Maxfield School)
1-6 All of previous 1-6 and the part of previous 1-8 west of Dale St (Jimmy Lee Rec Center)
1-7 Same territory as previous 1-7 (Unity Unitarian Church)
1-8 The parts of previous 1-8 east of Dale St, the previous 1-11 south of I-94 and the previous 1-12 north of the new legislative boundary (MLK Rec Center)
1-9 All of previous 1-9 and the part of the previous 1-10 north of University Avenue (Jackson School)
