Approving adverse action against the Dance or Rental Halls license held by Jonah Ogiamien, d/b/a Jonah Ogiamien, 508 Snelling Avenue North.

WHEREAS, adverse action was taken against the Dance or Rental Halls license held by Jonah Ogiamien d/b/a Jonah Ogiamien (License ID #19990005112) for the premises located at 508 Snelling Avenue North in Saint Paul, by Imposition of Fines and Additional License Conditions letter sent to the licensee by the Department of Safety and Inspections on January 23, 2012; and
WHEREAS, the Imposition of Fines and Additional License Conditions letter stated that a $2,000.00 matrix penalty was imposed by City Council at their January 11, 2012 meeting and said penalty was to be paid no later than February 10, 2012; and
WHEREAS, the licensee did not respond to the Imposition of Fines and Additional License Conditions to pay the $2,000.00 matrix penalty by the February 10, 2012 deadline; and
WHEREAS, a Notice of Intent to Suspend License was sent to the licensee on February 23, 2012, requesting the $2,000.00 matrix penalty no later than March 1, 2012 or the Dance or Rental Halls license would be suspended by City Council at their March 7, 2012 meeting;
WHEREAS, the licensee did not respond to the Notice of Intent to Suspend License to pay the $2,000.00 matrix penalty or make arrangement for payment; now therefore be it,
RESOLVED, that the Dance or Rental Halls license held by Jonah Ogiamien d/b/a Jonah Ogiamien is hereby immediately suspended for failure to pay the $2,000.00 matrix penalty imposed by City Council on January 11, 2012.
