Title
Amending the financing and spending plans in the Department of Public Works in the amount of $115,000 to add trunk highway funding for reconstruction of the traffic signal system at the intersection of Seventh / Minnehaha / Mendota, to be completed through the Signalized Intersection Safety Improvement Program.  
 
Body
WHEREAS, the Department of Public Works is entering into a Cooperative Agreement with the Minnesota Department of Transportation that secures trunk highway funding for the reconstruction of the traffic signal system at the intersection of 7th/Minnehaha/Mendota, and
 
WHEREAS, in order for Public Works to award a contract for reconstruction of the traffic signal project, the trunk highway funding needs to be added to the Signalized Intersection Safety Improvement Program, and
WHEREAS, the Signalized Intersection Safety Improvement Program was established to provide funding for work associated with the reconstruction of traffic signal systems throughout St. Paul, and  
      
WHEREAS, the Mayor, pursuant to Section 10.07.1 of the Charter of the City of Saint Paul, does certify that there are available for appropriation trunk highway funds in the amount of $115,000 to be added to the Capital Improvement Budget; so
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the Council of the City of Saint Paul, upon recommendation of the Mayor and advice of the Long Range Capital Improvement Budget Committee, that $115,000 is available for appropriation in the Capital Improvement Budget, as heretofore adopted and amended by this Council, be hereby further amended in the Capital Improvement Budget as detailed on the attached.
