Amending the joint powers agreement with State of Minnesota Department of Public Safety, Bureau of Criminal Apprehension (City contract #02-15318-I), and establishing the financing and spending plan.
Body
WHEREAS, the City of Saint Paul, Police Department was authorized to enter into the attached joint powers agreement with the State of Minnesota Department of Public Safety, Bureau Criminal Apprehension (City contract# 02-15318-I); and
WHEREAS, the City of St Paul, Police Department, requests authorization to amend the joint powers agreement by accepting additional funding of $7,704 to participate in the State's Child Sexual Predator Program and extending the expiration date to August 31, 2012; and
WHEREAS, a 2012 financing and spending plan needs to be established for these funds; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor pursuant to Section 10.07.1 of the Charter of the City of Saint Paul, does certify that there are available for appropriation funds of $7,704 in excess of those estimated in the 2012 budget; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor recommends that the following addition be made to the 2012 budget:
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Saint Paul City Council authorizes the amendment to the joint powers agreement with the State of MN Department of Public Safety (BCA) and approves the changes to the 2012 budget.
