Authorizing the Horticulture Department of the Marjorie McNeely Conservatory to accept a grant in the amount of $400 for the year 2012 from the Mid America Orchid Congress for the purpose of purchasing species orchids to diversify the existing collection of Neotropical Orchids.

WHEREAS, the Mid America Orchid Congress has offered to grant the Marjorie McNeely Conservatory's Horticulture Department $400.00 to purchase species orchids to add to the existing collection of orchids; and
WHEREAS, the Marjorie McNeely Conservatory will display all purchased orchids to the general public; and
WHEREAS, The City believes that accepting this donation is a benefit to the citizens of Saint Paul as it enhances the amenities at the Marjorie McNeely Conservatory;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the city accepts the grant of $400.00 for the purchase of species orchids; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City thanks the Mid America Orchid Congress for this grant.
