Purpose of Appeal
We request a variance for room height in one room. Whereas the height is required to be 7 feet over 1/2 the floor area, over 1/2 is 6 feet 9 inches. We have made several improvements in 2011 but still need this variance.

WHEREAS, in the matter of the Appeal of Scit Housing Corporation/Chad Kulas to a Fire Certificate of Occupancy Correction Notice at 2054 LAUREL AVENUE, the Legislative Hearing Officer has reviewed the appeal and considered the testimony of City staff and the appellant; and
WHEREAS, the Legislative Hearing Officer recommends that the City Council grant a 3-inch variance in the minimum ceiling height in the first bedroom on the 3rd floor; Now, Therefore, Be It
RESOLVED, that the Saint Paul City Council hereby accepts and adopts the Legislative Hearing Officer's recommendation in this matter.
