Purpose of Appeal
Building is 90 years old.  Changing windows would detract from the character of the building.  There is a window of adequate size in the hallway in the upper 1/2 story.

Body
WHEREAS, in the matter of the Appeal of Ellen Marty to a Fire Certificate of Occupancy Correction Notice at 1812 SEVENTH STREET EAST, the Legislative Hearing Officer has reviewed the appeal and considered the testimony of City staff and the appellant; and
 
WHEREAS, the Legislative Hearing Officer recommends that the City Council Grant a 2-inch variance on the openable height of the egress window in the northeast side bedroom, and deny the appeal and grant an extension for 90 days for the egress window in the attic bedroom to come into compliance; Now, Therefore, Be It
 
RESOLVED, that the Saint Paul City Council hereby accepts and adopts the Legislative Hearing Officer's recommendation in this matter.
