Purpose of Appeal
We are appealing this notice because we are working on fixing these issues.  We fixed the carbon monoxide detector & smoke detector already.  The tenants moved furniture out of the way.  We have started fixing things already & need more time to fix everything.  The tenants have no where to go on such short notice.

WHEREAS, in the matter of the Appeal of Benjamin Aung to a Notice of Condemnation as Unfit for Human Habitation and Order to Vacate at 416 VAN BUREN AVENUE, the Legislative Hearing Officer has reviewed the appeal and considered the testimony of City staff and the appellant; and
 
WHEREAS, the Legislative Hearing Officer recommends that the City Council waive the vacant building fee for 90 days, allow the condemnation to remain, and appellant will need to order a Code Compliance Inspection Report; the mattress must be removed from the garage and the garage should not be occupied; Now, Therefore, Be It
 
RESOLVED, that the Saint Paul City Council hereby accepts and adopts the Legislative Hearing Officer's recommendation in this matter.
