Approving and ratifying the application to the Metropolitan Council to secure credits for Service Availability Charges (SAC) for the Schmidt Brewery Project.
Body
WHEREAS, the Schmidt Brewery Redevelopment project ("Project") is a phased development project within the City of Saint Paul to be constructed on the former Schmidt brewery site on West 7th Street; and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to request from the Metropolitan Council credits for Service Availability Charges ("SAC") for the Project; and
WHEREAS, City staff has filed an application with the Metropolitan Council for the SAC credits ("Application") and the City Council desires to approve the Application and ratify the previous actions of City staff, and the City Council finds a public purpose for this Application for the Project.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Saint Paul City Council that:
1. The City hereby approves the Application to Metropolitan Council for the SAC credits for the Project, and ratifies all previous actions taken by City staff in making this Application.
2. The City's Director, Department of Safety and Inspections, staff and legal counsel for the City are further directed and authorized to take all actions necessary to implement this Resolution. The appropriate City's directors and officials are authorized to execute any documents in connection with the Application.
