Preliminary Order setting a date of public hearing for January 18, 2012 for the 2012 Residential Street Vitality Project (2012 RSVP).

In the Matter of approving the construction of the 2012 Residential Street Vitality Project, by constructing new bituminous surface streets with concrete curb and gutter, concrete driveway aprons and outwalks, boulevards landscaped with sod and trees, and a new lantern style lighting system and doing all other necessary work to complete said project. Also, the appropriate sanitary sewer repairs will be made, lead water services in the right-of-way will be replaced, and storm and sanitary connections will be made at the request of the affected property owners.
The streets to be improved are as follows: See attached reports for project areas and affected streets.
The Council of the City of Saint Paul having received the report of the Mayor upon the above improvement, and having considered said report, hereby resolves:
1. That the said report and the same is hereby approve with no alternatives, and that the estimated cost thereof is $ 15,608,317.00 , financed by Street Improvement Bonds, Stormwater Quality Improvement funds, Saint Paul Regional Water Services funding, Major Sewer Repair funds, Minnesota State Aid (MSA) and Assessments on the MSA route.
2. That a public hearing be had on said improvement on the 18th day of January, 2012, at 5:30 p.m., in the Council Chambers of the City Hall and Court House Building in the City of Saint Paul.
3. That notice of said public hearing be given to the persons and in the manner provided by the Charter, stating the time and place of hearing, the nature of the improvement and the total cost thereof as estimated.
