Title
Amending the financing and spending plans in the Fire Department in the amount of $20,600 to make an adjustment in the 2008 Staffing for Adequate Fire and Emergency Response (SAFER) Grant.
Body
WHEREAS, the City of Saint Paul has received a Staffing for Adequate Fire and Emergency Response (SAFER) Grant to pay for 18 additional firefighters over a five year period, and
WHEREAS, the Fire Department was given approval in Council Resolution 09-568 to apply for this grant and contribute matching funds, and
WHEREAS, a budget adjustment needs to be made due to additional revenue being received in 2011, and
WHEREAS, the Mayor, pursuant to section 10.07.1 of the Charter of the City of Saint Paul, does certify that there are available for appropriation funds of $20,600.00 in excess of those estimated in the 2011 budget; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor recommends that the following addition be made to the 2011 budget;
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the financing and spending plans adjustment be established for this grant and the City Council approves the changes to the 2011 budget.
