Authorizing the Mayor's Office to accept a gift of travel and accommodations to allow Nancy Homans to attend a conference sponsored by the Nonprofit Finance Fund.
Body
WHEREAS, the Nonprofit Finance Fund invited the Mayor's Office to send a staffperson to attend a conference in Washington DC entitled, "Pay for Success: Investing in What Works;" and
WHEREAS, the Nonprofit Finance Fund has offered to pay for the flight and hotel acccommodations to enable staff to participate in the session; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that attendance at the conference will fulfill a public purpose by giving the Mayor's staff an opportunity to better understand an emerging public finance model; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that the City accepts a gift of airfare at a cost not to exceed $1,090 and hotel accommodations at a cost not to exceed $240.
