Authorizing the Fire Department to accept the donation of smoke alarms from the Red Cross with an estimated value of $16,962.
Body
WHEREAS, the Red Cross has offered to donate smoke alarms on an as-needed basis with an estimated annual value of $16,962 to the Saint Paul Fire Department for the Project Safe Haven program; and
WHEREAS, the Fire Department would like to accept the donation of the smoke alarms from the Red Cross; and
WHEREAS, the public purpose of this donation is to provide residents with smoke alarms through the Project Safe Haven program, now, therefore be it
RESOLVED, the Saint Paul City Council accepts this donation of smoke alarms from the Red Cross.
