Authorizing the City to enter into a Cooperative Agreement with Ramsey County to reconstruct and rebuild the Maryland Avenue at Payne Avenue intersection.
Body
WHEREAS, the City of Saint Paul (City) and Ramsey County (County) desire to reconstruct and rebuild the Maryland Avenue at Payne Avenue intersection, and
WHEREAS, Maryland Avenue, in the area affected by reconstruction, is designated County State Aid Highway 31 and Payne Avenue is designated Municipal State Aid Route 179 and are both in the City, and
WHEREAS, the County Maryland Project requires purchase of right-of-way at the southeast corner of the Payne/Maryland intersection and the City has a separate project on the southeast corner to construct a Library and Recreation Center, that would also benefit by close coordination and sharing property acquisition, and
WHEREAS, Ramsey County Agreement PW 2010-20A defines the right-of-way acquisition responsibilities of Ramsey County and the City of St. Paul for implementation of the project; now, therefore be it
RESOLVED, the Mayor and the proper City Officials are hereby authorized and directed for and on behalf of the City to enter into Ramsey County Agreement PW 2010-20A, a copy of which is before Council and is made a part hereof, and be it further
RESOLVED, that the Mayor and the proper City Officials are authorized to execute the Agreement and any amendments to the Agreement.
