Amending spending authority within the 2025 spending budget of the Department of Public Works Administration Fund Director's Office Accounting Unit for the hiring of professional consultation services from Two Rivers Technology contractor.
Body
WHEREAS, the Department of Public Works issues a multitude of permits city-wide for commercial and residential purposes, designed to facilitate a safer and more efficient use of city properties; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Public Works is adapting a new online system that would allow permit purchasers to obtain permits remotely through a convenient and streamlined portal known as Paulie; and
WHEREAS, due to staff shortages and time constraints to roll out the Paulie system in a timely manner, the Department of Public Works has determined the need to hire consultation services to assist Public Works with completion and testing the new Paulie Permit system to help launch the system by the contracted deadline; and
Whereas, the Public Works Director's Office Accounting Unit has sufficient funding in other spending line items to cover of the consultant cost due to position vacancies; therefore via
ADMINISTRATIVE ORDER, consistent with the authority granted to the Mayor in Section 10.07.4 of the City Charter and on the request of the Director of Public Works to amend the 2025 Adopted spending budget in the Director's Office Accounting Unit , the Director of the Office of Financial Services is authorized to amend said budget in the particulars as indicated in the attached financial analysis.
