Appeal of Erin Marissa, Taher Real Estate LLC, to a Vacant Building Registration Notice at 276 EXCHANGE STREET SOUTH.
Date/Time of 1st LH: Tuesday, June 8, 2021, teleconference between 2:30 p.m. and 4:00 p.m.
Purpose of Appeal: The building is not actually vacant. It is for sale, and we have associates coming and going from the site regularly as we continue to do work on the premises, and have our realtor doing showings. Urban adventurers seem to be attracted to the property and are breaking in and setting off the alarms.

Legislative Hearing Staff Comments: VB Category 2 Commercial opened on 5/12/2021 due to homeless people living in the utility room in back of bldg while the restaurant is closed. There was a SA issued for securing of the door to utility room on 5/12/21.

WHEREAS, in the matter of the Appeal of Erin Marisa, Taher Real Estate LLC, to a Vacant Building Registration Notice at 276 EXCHANGE STREET SOUTH, the Legislative Hearing Officer has reviewed the appeal and considered the testimony of City staff and the appellant; and
WHEREAS, the Legislative Hearing Officer recommends that the City Council deny the appeal, but grant a 90-day vacant building fee waiver until August 13, 2021; Now, Therefore, Be It
RESOLVED, that the Saint Paul City Council hereby accepts and adopts the Legislative Hearing Officer's recommendation in this matter.
