Approving adverse action against all licenses held by KIB Properties, Inc., d/b/a Trend Bar at 1537 University Avenue West.
Body
WHEREAS, all licenses held by KIB Properties, Inc. d/b/a Trend Bar (License ID #20070003867) for the premises located at 1537 University Avenue West in Saint Paul were the subject of a Notice of Violation dated July 1, 2015, stating the Department of Safety and Inspections received a report from the Minnesota Gambling Board on April 8, 2015, indicating a bartender/employee was involved in personal gambling on site; and
WHEREAS, employees involved in personal gambling on site is a violation of both Minn. Stat. § 349.181, Subd. 3 and Saint Paul Legislative Code § 409.21 (b) (7); and
WHEREAS, the licensing office recommended a $500.00 matrix penalty; and
WHEREAS, the licensee did not respond to the Notice of Violation, to pay the $500.00 matrix penalty or request a public or administrative hearing; and
WHEREAS, the Notice of Violation stated that if the licensee failed to pay the $500.00 matrix penalty or request a public or administrative hearing by July 13, 2015, that the matter would be placed on the consent agenda to impose the recommended penalty; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, KIB Properties, Inc. d/b/a Trend Bar is hereby ordered to pay a matrix penalty of $500.00.
