Title

Amending the financing and spending plans in Department of Emergency Management in the amount of $60,750 for the 2016 Hazardous Materials Emergency Preparedness Grant.

 

Body

WHEREAS, the Department of Emergency Management applied for and received a grant of $60,750 from the State of Minnesota for the 2016 Hazardous Materials Emergency Preparedness Grant to host a regional table top exercise for railroad derailment, and

 

WHEREAS, this grant includes and in-kind match of $5,000, and

 

WHEREAS, the financing and spending plans have not been established for the grant received, and

 

WHEREAS, the Mayor pursuant to Section 10.07.1 of the Charter of City of Saint Paul, does certify that there are available for appropriation funds of $60,750 in excess of those estimated in the 2016 budget, and

 

WHEREAS, the Mayor recommends the following additional changes be made to the 2017 budget:

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Saint Paul City Council accepts this grant, and hereby approves the changes to the 2017 budget referenced in this resolution, and furthermore authorizes the appropriate city officials to execute and implement the attached grant agreement for the 2016 Hazardous Materials Emergency Preparedness Grant.
