Purpose of Appeal: I would like to be able to keep the tarp and structure that blocks my neighbor's intrusive security light and provides privacy for us both. And I have pallets that are part of an urban agriculture system and I would like to be able to use them in my yard.

WHEREAS, in the matter of the Appeal of Patrick Milan to a Summary Abatement Order at 108 LAWSON AVENUE WEST, the Legislative Hearing Officer has reviewed the appeal and considered the testimony of City staff and the appellant;

 

WHEREAS, the Legislative Hearing Officer recommends that the City Council grant to January 1, 2018 to comply with the Order; and Now, Therefore, Be It

 

WHEREAS, the City Council granted to January 1, 2018

 

RESOLVED, that the Saint Paul City Council hereby accepts and adopts the Legislative Hearing Officer's recommendation in this matter grants to January 1, 2018 for removal of the tarp from the rear of the property and continues the matter to June 6, 2018 to further consideration of the exterior storage in the context of the city's urban agriculture codes and policies; and

 

WHEREAS, the Council has reviewed the progress of the clean-up of the yard and found the nuisance condition is substantially abated and will allow the pallet abutting the rear fence to remain; Now, Therefore, Be It

 

RESOLVED, that the Council considers the nuisance conditions abated and grants the pallet is allowed to remain.
