Recognizing Anna Spurr on her retirement from the City of Saint Paul.

WHEREAS, Anna Spurr started with the City of Saint Paul on January 5, 1983 and has remained a steadfast employee of the City for the past thirty-seven and a half years; and
WHEREAS, throughout her long career, Anna has experienced six different Mayoral administrations, has worked in four City departments and finishes out her career in the Office of Human Resources; and
WHEREAS, for the past 19 years, since 2001, Anna has been tasked with the responsibility of a variety of department payrolls and has worked diligently to interpret the many details of a labor contract to ensure City employees are paid accurately; and
WHEREAS, Anna’s thirty-seven and a half years of service to the citizens of Saint Paul speak to her dedication and commitment to the City; and
WHEREAS, Anna will leave employment with the City of Saint Paul on August 21, 2020, and the loss of her institutional payroll knowledge and City experience will be deeply felt; and
WHEREAS, Anna will be moving to Texas to be with her family and she is wished a happy, healthy, and well-deserved retirement; now, therefore be
RESOLVED, that the Saint Paul City Council congratulates Anna Spurr on the celebration of her retirement and thanks her for her 37 ½ years of service to the City of Saint Paul.
