Authorizing Police Department to accept a grant in the amount of $564,632.60 from the State of Minnesota, Department of Commerce for the Auto Theft Prevention program.
Body
WHEREAS, the City of Saint Paul, Police Department has been awarded the Auto Theft Prevention Grant by the State of Minnesota, Department of Commerce, which includes an indemnification clause; and
WHEREAS, this grant provides funds to support the police department in its efforts to reduce motor vehicle theft, citizen education and collaboration with other agencies on auto theft prevention; and
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that council accepts this grant and authorizes the City of Saint Paul to enter into, and Chief Thomas Smith to implement the attached agreement with the State of Minnesota which includes an indemnification clause.
