Title

Referring to City Council of a potential stay of enforcement of demolition for Jay Mitchell, on behalf of Quality Residences, LLC, for property at 401 ROSE AVENUE EAST. 

 

Body

WHEREAS, on October 23, 2024, the Saint Paul City Council adopted Council File RLH RR 24-37, which granted an additional 180 days for rehabilitation of the building and continued the original $5,000 performance deposit and to post an additional $5,000 performance deposit and to submit updated work plan and schedule; and

 

WHEREAS, on October 16, 2024, the additional $5,000 performance deposit was posted at the Department of Safety & Inspections and work plan and schedule were approved; and

 

WHEREAS,  on November 1, 2024, the performance deposit check #0103 was returned for non sufficient funds; therefore, Quality Residences LLC did not comply with the condition requirement of the Legislative Hearing Officer; and

 

WHEREAS, on March 26, 2025, the City Council refers the matter back to the Legislative Hearing Officer for reviewing of this matter to develop a recommendation on whether the Council should grant its stay of enforcement of RLH RR 24-37; Now, Therefore, Be It,

 

RESOLVED, that the Saint Paul City Council hereby stays enforcement of enforcement of RLH RR 24-37; and be it further,

 

RESOLVED, that the City Council refers this matter to Legislative Hearing on April 8, 2025.
