Authorizing the Department of Parks and Recreation to execute a grant agreement with the Capitol Region Watershed District, which includes an indemnification clause, to implement said CRWD grant funds for the Highland Bridge (Ford Site) project.

WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation applied for and has received grant funding from the Capitol Region Watershed District for the Highland Bridge (Ford Site) project; and
WHEREAS, the City of Saint Paul agrees to comply with the requirements of said grant, which includes entering into a grant agreement to accept and implement said funds, and which includes an indemnification clause; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that there is a public purpose in providing for the betterment of our parks facilities and trails and that acceptance of the grant funding will enable construction of water features for the Highland Bridge (Ford Site); now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Saint Paul hereby authorizes that the Mayor and proper City officials are hereby authorized to execute agreements with the Capitol Region Watershed District, which include an indemnification clause, to accept and implement said grant funds.
