Title

Authorizing an increase in the Parks and Recreation Grant Fund Budget in the amount of $79,750 to reflect the multi-year Conservation Partners Legacy Grant received from the State of Minnesota for the Henry Park/Highwood Preserve Woodland Enhancement.   

 

Body

WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation has been awarded a Conservation Partners Legacy Grant in the amount of $79,750; and

 

WHEREAS, the term of this grant begins upon execution and ends June 30, 2022, with the Department of Parks and Recreation applying for reimbursement of costs on a quarterly basis; and

WHEREAS, the project will provide funding for work on public lands to improve habitat for fish, game, and wildlife and improve public recreational opportunities; and

 

WHEREAS, the Mayor, pursuant to Section 10.07.01 of the Charter of the City of Saint Paul, does certify that there are available for appropriation, funds of $79,750 in excess of those estimated in the current Grant Budget; now, therefore, be it

 

RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Saint Paul authorizes acceptance of the grant funds and approves these amendments for the Life-to-date Grant Budget.
