Authorizing the City to enter into an agreement with the Metropolitan Council and Ramsey County for replacement of traffic signal controllers and related work on the Metro Green Line along University Avenue.
Body
WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Council operates the Metro Green Line within the City of Saint Paul; and
WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Council desires to alter the operation of the signalized intersections on University Avenue between Berry Street and Rice Street; and
WHEREAS, Ramsey County has jurisdiction over University Avenue (CSAH 34) at these intersections except for the intersection of University and Snelling; and
WHEREAS, the City operates and maintains the traffic signal systems along the Green Line within the City of Saint Paul; and
WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Council, Ramsey County and the City have determined that replacement of the traffic signal controllers and related work at these intersections is mutually beneficial and will provide a public benefit; and
WHEREAS, the responsibilities of each entity are defined in the agreement; now, therefore be it
RESOLVED, that the Mayor and the proper City Officials are hereby authorized and directed for and on behalf of the City to enter into Metropolitan Council Agreement No. 25I079/Ramsey County Agreement PW 2025-14, a copy of which is before Council and is made a part hereof; and, be it finally
RESOLVED, that the Mayor and the proper City Officials are authorized to execute the agreement and any amendments to the agreement.
