Title

Approving the Memorandum of Agreement between the City of Saint Paul and the United Association of Plumbers, Local 34, for the purpose of establishing mandatory contributions for the utilization of the Minnesota Paid Leave program. (To be laid over one week for adoption)

Body

Whereas, the Maintenance Labor Agreement (May 1, 2024 - April 30, 2027) between the City of Saint Paul and the United Association of Plumbers, Local 34, was approved by the Saint Paul City Council on October 23, 2024; the Memorandum of Agreement for the 2025 Wage and Fringe Adjustment between the City of Saint Paul and the United Association of Plumbers, Local 34, which was approved by the Saint Paul City Council on May 14, 2025; and the 2026 Wage and Fringe Adjustment between the City of Saint Paul and the United Association of Plumbers, Local 34, which was approved by the Saint Paul City Council on May 20, 2026, continues in full force and effect through April 30, 2027, and thereafter until modified or amended by mutual agreement of the parties; and

 

Whereas, the City of Saint Paul and the United Association of Plumbers, Local 34, reached a tentative agreement on a Memorandum of Agreement for the purpose of establishing mandatory contributions for the utilization of the Minnesota Paid Leave program, that once approved, will be effective the closest pay period following adoption and thereafter until modified or amended by mutual agreement of the parties; now therefore, be it

 

Resolved, that the Saint Paul City Council, pursuant to the Saint Paul City Charter Section 6.03.3 (5) hereby approves and ratifies the attached Memorandum of Agreement between the City of Saint Paul and the United Association of Plumbers, Local 34.
