Approving a Liquor Outdoor Service Area (Patio) license with conditions to Lake Monster Brewing, Inc. d/b/a Lake Monster Brewing (License ID #20150001795) for the premises located at 550 Vandalia Street in Saint Paul.

WHEREAS, Lake Monster Brewing, Inc. d/b/a Lake Monster Brewing (License ID #20150001795) applied for a Liquor Outdoor Service Area (Patio) license for the premises located at 550 Vandalia Street; and
WHEREAS, the licensee also applied for a Malt On Sale (Brewery Taproom); a Malt Off Sale (Brewery); a Liquor On Sale-Sunday and an Entertainment A license; and
WHEREAS, there were no residential properties located within three-hundred (300) feet of the property so no petition was required for a Liquor-Outdoor Service Area (Patio) license; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Safety and Inspections received no objections to the issuance of the license; and
WHEREAS, the Council finds that the application is in order and there are no grounds for denial of a Liquor Outdoor Service Area (Patio) license; now, therefore, be it,
RESOLVED, a Liquor Outdoor Service Area (Patio) license is hereby granted to Lake Monster Brewing, Inc. d/b/a Lake Monster Brewing (License ID #20150001795) for the premises located at 550 Vandalia Street in Saint Paul with the following conditions:
1. Per City of Saint Paul Legislative Code 411.02, the definition of Entertainment A is, “Amplified or nonamplified music and/or singing by performers without limitation as to number, and group singing participated in by patrons of the establishment.” (includes karaoke). Entertainment A license does not allow for patron and/or performance dances.
2. Licensee acknowledges that the beer service area is limited to the location shown on the approved plan on file with DSI dated 04/16/2015. Any changes to the service area requires prior written approval from DSI.
