Accepting grants of easements and authorizing payment to property owners for the Rice and Maryland Signalization Project.
Body
WHEREAS, on August 19, 2009 the City Council approved Council File Number 09-903, a Final Order authorizing acquisition of property rights necessary to construct a left-turn-lane and signalization project along Maryland Avenue West at the intersection of Rice Street; and
WHEREAS, the City has secured agreements for the purchase of permanent right-of-way easements and temporary construction easements on, over, under and across the following parcels of land:

WHEREAS, the City has agreed to pay Thirty-Two Thousand Six Hundred and 00/100 Dollars ($32,600.00) for said easements, this being a fair and reasonable value as determined by an appraisal and negotiated and agreed to between the City and the property owners; and
WHEREAS, the Real Estate Manager has recommended purchase of said easements at the agreed-upon values, plus other considerations as outlined in the Purchase Agreements attached hereto as Exhibit A; now, therefore be it
RESOLVED, that the Mayor and Council of the City of Saint Paul do hereby approve said Purchase Agreements and accept said permanent and temporary easements in a form and content substantially as set forth in Exhibit B attached hereto; and further authorize and direct the proper city officials to pay the property owners the above-listed amounts, said sum to be charged to Activity Code C08-2F042-0788-00000; and to record said permanent easements with...
