WHEREAS, the Cigarette/Tobacco license held by Payne EZ Market, Inc. d/b/a Payne EZ Market, Inc. (License ID #20150000195) for the premises located at 1132 Payne Avenue in Saint Paul was the subject of a Notice of Intent to Suspend License dated December 16, 2015, stating that the licensee failed to pay the $500.00 matrix penalty imposed by City Council on November 4, 2015 (RES #15-1887) by the December 4, 2015 deadline; and
WHEREAS, the licensee did not respond to the Notice of Intent to Suspend License to pay the $500.00 matrix penalty or request a public hearing; and
WHEREAS, the Notice of Intent to Suspend License stated that if the licensee failed to pay the $500.00 matrix penalty or request a public hearing by December 24, 2015, that the matter would be placed on the consent agenda to impose the recommended penalty; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, the Cigarette/Tobacco license held by Payne EZ Market, Inc. d/b/a Payne EZ Market, Inc. is hereby suspended for failure to pay the $500.00 matrix penalty imposed by City Council on November 4, 2015.
The license will remain suspended until all penalties are paid in full to the Department of Safety and Inspections.
