Authorizing the Police Department expenditures for the Standardized Field Sobriety Testing Training program conducted in 2025.

WHEREAS, the Saint Paul Police Department is seeking authorization for expenditures to include alcoholic beverages, water, food, and miscellaneous serving supplies, not to exceed $800, to be used for the Standardized Field Sobriety Tests; and
WHEREAS, the Standardized Field Sobriety Tests are important training for the new police recruits regarding the effects of alcoholic beverages on people and the impairment it may cause; and
WHEREAS, the public purpose for the expense is public safety; and
WHEREAS, funding for Stand. Field Sobriety Testing Training expenses were approved as part of the General and Special Fund 2025 Adopted Budgets; and
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that pursuant to the 2025 city budget, the proper city officials are hereby authorized to remit an amount not to exceed $800 to cover these expenses.
