Approving an upgrade to a Liquor-Outdoor Service Area (Sidewalk) license with an additional license condition to Rich Pour Enterprises, LLC, d/b/a The Blue Door Pub (License ID #20080002256) at 1811 Selby Avenue.

WHEREAS, Rich Pour Enterprises, LLC d/b/a The Blue Door Pub (License ID #20080002256) applied for an upgrade from the current Sidewalk Café license to a Liquor-Outdoor Service Area (Sidewalk) license for the premises located at 1181 Selby Avenue in Saint Paul; and
WHEREAS, the licensee also holds a Malt On Sale (Strong), and Wine On Sale license; and
WHEREAS, the licensee submitted a “Good Faith” letter indicating an effort to obtain the required number of petition signatures; and
WHEREAS, the licensee was able to obtain thirty-seven (37) out of a possible sixty-one (61) petition signatures for sixty percent (60%) support of an upgrade to a Liquor-Outdoor Service Area (Sidewalk) license; and
WHEREAS, DSI received a letter from Union Park District Council indicating they had no objection to a Liquor-Outdoor Service Area (Sidewalk) license if DSI added a condition concerning patio closing times; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Safety and Inspections received no other objections to the issuance of the license; and
WHEREAS, the Council finds that the application is in order and there are no grounds for denial of the license; now, therefore, be it,
RESOLVED, a Liquor-Outdoor Service Area (Sidewalk) license is hereby granted with the following additional license condition to Rich Pour Enterprises, LLC d/b/a The Blue Door Pub (License ID #20080002256) for the premises located at 1811 Selby Avenue in Saint Paul:
8. Outdoor beer and wine service shall end at 9:30 p.m. and the sidewalk café shall close at 10:00 p.m. each night of the week.
