Authorizing the Saint Paul Public Library to accept a $500 gift from the Science Across America program.

Body

WHEREAS, the Saint Paul Public Library has been selected to participate in the Science Across America Library Program to provide science programming at the West 7^th and Highland Park Library locations; and

WHEREAS, participation in the program entitles the library to a $500 honorarium to support the programming; and

WHEREAS, there are no required matching funds by the City; and

WHEREAS, the Library Board finds that the expenditure of these funds to provide science-based programming and educational materials has a public purpose; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, that the Library Board authorizes the Saint Paul Public Library to accept said funds from the Science Across America Program and thanks them for their generous gift.
