Setting fine amounts for violations of Legislative Code section 157.11 (e) pertaining to trailer parking.

WHEREAS, the Saint Paul City Council has amended Chapter 157 of the Saint Paul Legislative Code to reflect a new violation for parking a trailer, including cargo or utility trailers, campers, and boat trailers, on any street or alley that is not connected to a motor vehicle capable of drawing or transporting the trailer; codified as Legislative Code section 157.11(e);
WHEREAS, the City's regulation of trailer parking is substantially similar to its regulation of parking for commercial and overweight vehicles under Section 157.11, which has an established fine of $25; now, therefore be it
RESOLVED, that the Saint Paul City Council requests the Ramsey County District Court to amend the City of Saint Paul's Fine Schedule to reflect the following changes:
New Violation
157.11.e. Parking a trailer not connected to a motor vehicle, for which the fine shall be $25.00.
