Title

Authorizing the City to enter into a grant agreement with the Federal Highway Administration for Safe Streets for All funding.

Body

WHEREAS, the City has received a $14,153,040 Safe Streets for All (SS4A) grant from the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) for the Safe and Equitable Streets: Systemic Improvements for Saint Paul & Ramsey County Roads; and

 

WHEREAS, Council Resolution 24-599 authorized the City to apply for and accept the SS4A grant; and

 

WHEREAS, the City applied for and received $3,931,400 in funding from the IIJA Discretionary Match Program from the Minnesota Department of Transportation, as authorized by Council Resolution 24-1353, to cover the local match; and

 

WHEREAS, the project will implement transportation safety treatments on streets on the City’s High Injury Network and will be integral to advancing the City’s transportation safety work; now, therefore be it

 

RESOLVED, that the Mayor and the proper City Officials are hereby authorized and directed for and on behalf of the City to enter into this agreement with the FHWA, a copy of which is before Council and is made a part hereof; and be it finally

 

RESOLVED, that the Mayor and the proper City Officials are authorized to execute the agreement and any amendments to the agreement.
