Authorizing the Police Department to accept a vehicle donation from the State Farm Insurance Company with an "as is" value of $1,450, to be used primarily as a "bait car" in the property crimes unit.
Body
WHEREAS, the City of Saint Paul, Police Department has received a donation from State Farm Insurance Company; and
WHEREAS, the donation of a 1998 Acura Integra will be used primarily as a 'bait car' in the property crimes unit, and
WHEREAS, the value of the vehicle as is $1,450; and
WHEREAS, the public purpose of this donation is to assist police department property crimes unit in auto theft prevention investigation, apprehension and prosecution activities; and
BE IT RESOLVED, that the council accepts this donation, and extends its sincere thanks to State Farm Insurance.
