Authorizing the City to enter an amendment to lease agreement 15905 with National Cooperative Leasing (NCL) to continue leasing 27 Nissan Leaf S, and 39 Nissan Leaf fit to remain in the Evie Carshare fleet for another 3 years.
Body
WHEREAS, the City leased Nissan Leafs in 2 batches (30 units, 40 units) in 2021 through an award from the Congestion mitigation Air Quality (CMAQ) grant through the Metropolitan Council’s Transportation Advisory Board; and
WHEREAS, there are 27 and 39 (respectively) Leafs that remain in adequate condition to extend the leasing on the vehicles, allowing them to remain in use by Evie Carshare users; and
WHEREAS, the terms of the CMAQ award letter allow for refinancing on the original fleet vehicles for an additional 3 years; and
WHEREAS, National Cooperative Leasing (NCL) has gone through a competitive process to become an approved Sourcewell vendor; and
WHEREAS, the NCL supplemental lease agreement numbers 006 and 007 for the vehicles are amendments of an existing agreement dated March 31, 2021; now, therefore be it
RESOLVED, that the City Council hereby authorizes and directs the proper city officials to enter into said lease amendments with National Cooperative Leasing.
