Authorizing the Department of Parks and Recreation to apply for $25,000, with no funding match required from the City, from the Metropolitan Regional Arts Council (MRAC) for the Revitalization of Outdoor Community Celebrations Project.

WEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation is requesting permission to apply for $25,000 from the MRAC for the Revitalization of Outdoor Community Celebrations Project; and
WHEREAS, grant funds would allow the Department of Parks and Recreation to host outdoor celebrations of community, with a component of music, performance art, and interactive art experiences, to bring the community together in outdoor public spaces in a positive celebration; and
WHEREAS, there is an no match required of these funds by the City and other supporting agencies of the Revitalization of Outdoor Community Celebrations Project; and
RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Saint Paul authorizes the Department of Parks and Recreation to apply for said grant with the MRAC.
