Authorizing the Fire Department to accept a contribution of $112,500.00 from the Capitol Region Watershed District for the green roof at the William and Alfred Godette Memorial Building.

WHEREAS, the Fire Department has received a contribution of $112,500.00 from the Capitol Region Watershed District in support of the green roof and outdoor classroom located at the William and Alfred Godette Memorial Building, and
WHEREAS, the green roof provides a public educational center with a variety of permanent and perennial interpretive and education activities, which includes approximately 100 different native and low maintenance plant species, and
NOW THEREFORE IT BE RESOLVED, that the City Council accepts this contribution of $112,500.00 from the Capitol Region Watershed District and extend their sincere appreciation to this organization.
