Authorizing the Fire Department to pay stipend costs for teachers attending a training workshop on the Risk Watch injury prevention curriculum.

Pursuant to the 2011 City Budget, the proper City officials are hereby authorized to pay a stipend in the amount of $100.00 to each teacher who attends a two hour workshop on the Risk Watch injury prevention curriculum, not to exceed $5,000.00. This will pay for all stipend costs incurred by the Saint Paul Fire Department to pay teacher attendees of these workshops. The public purpose is to reduce unintentional injuries to children by providing an evening program for teachers to cover the Risk Watch curriculum they will use in their classrooms.
A copy of said order is to be kept on file and of record in the Office of Financial Services.
