Title

Amending the financing and spending plans in the Police Department in the amount of $100,800 for the 2023 COPS Microgrant from the Department of Justice, Office of Community Oriented Policing Services.

Body

WHEREAS, the Police Department accepted the 2023 COPS Microgrant from the Department of Justice (DOJ), Office of Community Oriented Policing Service (RES PH 23-353); and

WHEREAS, the DOJ approved an extension to the grant through September 30, 2025; and

WHEREAS, the 2025 financing and spending plans need to be amended for the extension; and

WHEREAS, the Mayor, pursuant to Section 10.07.1 of the Charter of the City of Saint Paul, does certify that there are available for appropriation funds of $100,800 in excess of those estimated in the 2025 grant budget; and 

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Saint Paul, upon recommendation of the Mayor, approves these changes to the 2025 grant budget as amended on the attached financial analysis.
