Accepting temporary easements and authorizing payment to property owners for the Woodward Alley Reconstruction Project.
Body
WHEREAS, the City of Saint Paul (“City”) has approved plans to reconstruct Woodward Alley northwest of the Payne Avenue and East 7th Street intersection in Saint Paul; and
WHEREAS, acquisition of temporary property rights are required from the neighboring property owners for access, buffer, staging, construction, restoration and safety purposes; and
WHEREAS, the City has secured temporary construction easements from each of the adjacent property owners identified in Exhibit A attached hereto; and
WHEREAS, the City has agreed to pay just compensation for the easements, as determined by an independent appraiser and mutual negotiations between the City and the property owners; and
WHEREAS, the Real Estate Manager has recommended acquisition of said easements at the agreed-upon values; now, therefore be it
RESOLVED, that the Mayor and Council of the City of Saint Paul do hereby authorize acceptance of said temporary easements; and further authorize and direct payment to the property owners for said easements.
