Stated Reason for Appeal (if given): PO was incorrectly charged for five carts at her triplex instead of three carts
Staff Comments: PO purchased home in Feb 2025 and requested a cart swap in early April. There were two 64 gallon carts and one 96 gallon cart on site. However, the billing was incorrect and the PO would have been charged for only two 96 gallon carts for Quarter 2 2025 if they did not request cart swap. When the cart swap was processed, there was an error that caused it to undercharge the 35 gallon carts, and leave the 96 gallon cart charges on the account. Staff recommends reducing the Quarter 2 2025 bill from $357.75 to $273.39, which is 3 weeks of having two 96 gallon carts and 11 weeks of having three 35 gallon carts.

WHEREAS, the Office of Financial Services Real Estate Section has attached to this Council File both a report of completion outlining the costs and fees associated with the Collection of Delinquent Garbage Bills for services during April to June 2025. (File No. CG25Q2B4, Assessment No. 250121) and the assessment roll including all properties for which these assessments are proposed for Council ratification; and
WHEREAS, the City Council’s Legislative Hearing Officer has reviewed an appeal of this assessment and developed a recommendation for the City Council with respect to this assessment; and
