Amending the financing and spending plans in the Education Initiatives Budget in the amount of $11,232 to recognize unspent grant balances.
Body
WHEREAS, the City of Saint Paul is committed to improving the educational opportunities of all children and youth in Saint Paul; and
WHEREAS, the City of Saint Paul is committed to promoting and supporting a variety of educational initiatives including the Saint Paul Promise Neighborhood, Sprockets out-of-school-time network, and other collaborative educational efforts; and
WHEREAS, there are remaining balances from previously awarded education grants that are not currently recognized in the 2012 adopted budget; and
WHEREAS, these balances will be used to complete anticipated 2012 education initiative projects and programs; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor, in accordance with Section 10.07.1 of the City Charter, certifies that there are revenues available for appropriation totaling $11,232 in excess of the revenue estimated in the 2012 budget; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor recommends that changes be made to the 2012 adopted budget as indicated in the attached financial analysis; now therefore be it
RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Saint Paul approves these amendments to the budget as indicated in the attached.
