WHEREAS on August 2, 2017, the City Council of the City of Saint Paul adopted Council File No. AR 17-57 to delete the assessment for Collection of Vacant Building Registration Fees billed during November 10, 2016 to February 27, 2017. (File No. VB1712A, Assessment No. 178831); and
WHEREAS, the property at 1041 Selby Avenue, being described as: Rogers Addition To St Paul Ex Ave Lot 28 Blk 3, with the property identification number 02-28-23-22-0082 was assessed an amount of $2,240.00; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Safety & Inspections recommends deleting the assessment due to staff error, as the building was should have been issued its Certificate of Code Compliance within a month of the anniversary date of the property entering the vacant building program; however, inspector did not close the file until March 2017;
WHEREAS, the Legislative Hearing Officer concurs with the recommendation; Now, Therefore, Be It
RESOLVED, that the reduction of $2,240, plus any accrued interests, be deleted and Council File No. RLH AR 17-57 is hereby amended to reflect this change.
